A Brief History
It was discovered by the Asscher Brothers of Holland’s Asscher Diamond Company now known as the Royal Asscher Diamond Company. They were famous for cutting a rough diamond of 3,106 carat at the time. The Asscher cut was mostly used in antique Jewelry shops during the decades after the Great Depression. However, the style rose in popularity in the early 2000s again.
